About Chris

Chris was born and raised on the Southside of Indianapolis. He attended Wabash College where he played varsity football and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in English and a minor in History. He later returned to school to answer his first call to service, graduating from Marian University’s School of Nursing. As a nurse he has worked in emergency rooms of all sizes across Indiana and the United States. In that role he has encountered people of all walks of life and learned that our citizens have more in common than they might think

He and his wife Lauren live in Carmel and welcomed their first child in the summer of 2025. He is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys hiking, camping, and backpacking. He is also a lifelong student of history and authors the Substack Notes on the United States of America.

Where Do I Stand

Thanks to welcoming communities, great schools, and safe neighborhoods Hamilton County has become the fastest growing county in Indiana. But growth alone is not enough. Too many families are facing barriers to success. Limited affordable housing options, lack of child care solutions for working parents, and gaps in support for our more vulnerable neighbors all serve to hinder Hamilton County’s climb to the top.

We now stand at a crossroads. Down one path is the status quo where growth is measured only on paper and where these barriers risk stifling a vibrant community. Down the other is progress where we take responsibility for removing barriers and ensure that every hardworking person has a fair opportunity to build a stable life and reach their full potential.
